The Noorderparkbad is a universal building with an open look that invites entry. By focusing on easing the transition between landscape and building and breaking down the typical scale of a pool accommodation Noorderparkbad it aims to be a pavilion in the park. The rounded volume and billowing curtain of rain are the mediators between the building and park. Two stacked volumes determine the shape of the building. The tiling and design for gliding ways, lockers and cabins as well as the brickstone reliefs were done by artist Hugo Kaagman

The Noorderparkbad is the new public swimmingpool for Amsterdam-Noord and will fulfill an important social function. The traditional theme of a bathhouse as a meeting place for the neighborhood has been translated into the atmosphere of the interior.
Overal mooie patronen in twee kleuren.
